Description
View of the front elevations of the National Orthopaedic Hospital at 234 Great Portland Street, Westminster. The in-patient block was opened on 24th July 1909 by Queen Alexandra and Princess Victoria, until in 1984 it moved to Stanmore Hospital. On left is the Albany public house with a hanging sign showing The Duke of Albany, which was formerly known as Albany Tavern. Lorries and vans are parked alongside the street.
