View of 113-117 Borough Road, Southwark. Part of a three-storey terrace with basements and attics including The Duke of Clarence public house on the corner of St George's Circus. Built between 1820-6 to a design by William Montague, Surveyor to the City of London. Number 113, on the corner with Rotary Street (formerly Mansfield Street), with a sign above the shop window E.QUINNELL. In the 1920s this was occupied by Rederick Bloomfield, upholsterer. Numbers 114 and 115 are occupied by B&N OFFICE FURNISHERS, with tables and chairs on the pavement, and four people at number 115. In the 1920s this was occupied by Ernest William Avis, cardboard box maker. Number 116-117 is WATERLOO TELEVISION Co. advertising black and white, and colour television repairs. In the 1920s this was occupied by Ferdinand Delafond, printer. These buildings have recently been restored and are Grade II listed, number 1389680.
