Description
A view of 25-30 Carnaby Street, Soho. Four-storey brick buildings with shop fronts displaying large signs, they are Grade II listed, listing numbers 1292439, 1209828, 1066326 and 1066327. Shops include Sir Harry and Lady Jane of Carnaby Street, Carnaby Capers and Irvine Sellars Ltd. A few people are walking along the street which is decorated with coloured geometric shapes and by the turning into Lowndes Court stands a modernist design lamppost surmounted by two glass globes. Lowndes Court and Marlborough Court later became part of an area known as the New Burgh Quarter and metal signs with the name were erected across the entrances. Hanging above the street is a large neon sign which reads 'Carnaby Street Welcomes The World'.
