Description
Four-storey brick buildings at 9-12 D'Arblay Street, Soho. The street was originally called Portland Street, and renamed in 1909 to commemorate the residence of Fanny Burnley (later Madame D'Arblay) in Poland Street. Number 11 is G. Garbe and Sons, number 9 is the shop front to Sugarman's Salt Beef Restaurant and has a sign reading 'Salt Beef Restaurant' and another reading 'Salt Beef Sandwiches', both have Hebrew writing on. Another sign is for 'The Nine Club'.
