View of front elevations of buildings at 23-30 Prescot Street, Whitechapel. Number 23 is the Grade II listed premises of H. Frost (Builders) Limited; listing number 1357885. Number 24 was the Convent of Mary Immaculate in 1928-85. The building was later demolished and the site has since been redeveloped. Number 30 is Grade II listed; listing number 1065072. The Grade II listed Roman Catholic Church of the English Martyrs is in partial view in the distance. The church was based on designs by Edward Welby Pugin (1834-75) and building work was completed in 1876; listing number 1241734.
