A view of the side entrance to All Saints School and Church House, Marylebone Passage, Fitzrovia. A gothic arch surrounds this secondary entrance. A chain and lock hang on the iron railings of the gate within the arch. The gate has spikes, crozier and fleur-de-lis motifs. This building was built in 1868-70 by architect William Butterfield. The school completed the seminal group of buildings in Margaret Street, designed by Butterfield. These created a tough urban architecture of brick, with polychrome diaper decoration, and stone banding. The building became the London Fo Guang Shan Temple in 1992. It is a Buddhist temple, a monastery, and a venue for cultural events, meditation and devotional activities. This property is Grade II* listed, listing number 1273611.
