A general view of Margaret Street, Fitzrovia, looking north from the corner of Great Portland Street. On the right-hand side of the road Ellanbee House, and shop fronts for Big Scene dresses and Stirling Cooper-Sheratonare are visible. Stirling Cooper was a London-based fashion wholesaler and retailer that, along with brands such as Biba helped to redefine UK fashion in the late 1960s. They were part of the Swinging London scene in the early years and offered accessible and affordable high fashion. An entrance passage to Margaret Court cis visible. A van sits with its back door open. There are signs for Bellino and Laurie White further along the street. Cars are parked on either side of the road. Margaret Street is named after Margaret Bentinck, Duchess of Portland, daughter of local landowner Edward Harley, 2nd Earl of Oxford and Earl Mortimer.
