A view of the front elevations of 13-39 Ampton Street (odd) in King's Cross. All the properties are terraced houses, numbers 13-19 with substantial porticoes. Number 39 has a garage at the side. Built in 1819-23 by Thomas Cubitt, numbers 21-39 (odd) and their railings were listed Grade II in 1971, listing number 1246998. Built by William Cubitt in 1835-39, numbers 11-19 (odd) and their railings were listed Grade II in 1971, listing numbers 1246996 and 1246995. An LCC brown plaque records that number 33 was the home of Thomas Carlyle.
