A view of the entrance hall of 6 Ampton Place, King's Cross. The walls are papered and banisters are missing. A window at the top of the stairs is boarded up. A toilet is seen towards the back of the house with a bucket next to it. There is no carpet on the floor or stairs, where carpet clips sit at various odd angles. A door with vertical letterbox and bolts and a nightlatch lies on its side in the hallway. There is no bulb in the ceiling bulb holder. The houses in this terrace date from about 1845-47 and are possibly by William Cubitt. Numbers 4, 5 and 6 were Grade II listed in 1971, listing number 1246994.
