View on the junction with Gough Street of a terrace of buildings at 26-50 Calthorpe Street, Clerkenwell. The building at 26 Calthorpe Street is four storeys tall with a channelled stucco ground floor and arched windows. The windows on the first floor are fronted with palmette decorated balconies. This building hosts the electrical contractors, Shop Lighting Limited. Built by N. Stallwood between 1823 and 1828 with later alterations, this is now a Grade II listed building, listing number 1244310. The rest of the terrace consists of three-storeys and also contains a channelled stucco ground floor. With the exception of two properties all the first floor windows are pedimented. This section was built by W. Broder between 1843 and 1849, and is Grade II listed, listing number 1244313. Number 50 Calthorpe Street is under scaffolding and is protected under its own Grade II listing number of 1244315.
