A view of a first-floor front room at a terraced house at 127 Camden Street, Camden Town. The room has a patterned wallpaper with a different pattern on the chimney breast. Paper on the ceiling is peeling. Numerous china and glass item stands on the mantlepiece in front of an overmantle with mirror. A small electric fire stands in the hearth in front of a small screen patterned with poppy and iris design. The fireplace has a dark surround and a black insert. The ceiling has a slim moulding to the edge. The room is furnished with a sofa, on which seat cushions have been covered by a rug, and a simple armchair. A copy of Cosmopolitan magazine sits on the sofa. A net curtain hangs across the sash window. The house still exists.
