A view of the doorway of an anteroom at a grand house at 16 Fitzroy Square, Fitzrovia. The floor and two steps up to the door are carpeted. The door is painted in black gloss and has four panels. It is flanked by large Ionic columns supporting structural beams. Ceramic urns and a platter are just visible either side of the doorway. Dating from 1827-28, numbers 11, 12 and 15-19 Fitzroy Square and their railings were Grade II* listed in 1954; listing number 1112995. The symmetry of the original terrace was broken by a twentieth-century insertion of a different design.
