Description
A view of the banking hall at a grand house in use as a branch of National Provincial Bank at 6 Fitzroy Square, Fitzrovia. A teller position is visible behind a glazed screens on top of the counter. On a table are leaflet holders advertising Premium Bonds and 6 per cent British savings bonds. There is also a copy of the Times newspaper, a desk blotter and an ashtray. Part of a terrace designed by Robert and James Adam and dating from 1792-94, numbers 1, 1a and 2-8 Fitzroy Square and attached railings and lamp holders, were Grade I listed in 1954; listing number 1112991.
