A view of cars parked and parking meters in Fitzroy Square, Fitzrovia. At an acute angle on the left are the front elevations of grand terraced houses in the east side the square around numbers 2 to 5. On the right at the corner of Fitzroy Street is 40 Fitzroy Square. Traffic signs for one-way street and right turn only dominate the image. In the foreground parked saloon cars are a Hillman Imp and a Humber Super Snipe. Dating from 1792-98, numbers 33-40 Fitzroy Square and their railings were Grade I listed in 1954; listing number 1112997. Part of a terrace designed by Robert and James Adam and dating from 1792-94, numbers 1, 1a and 2-8 Fitzroy Square and attached railings and lamp holders, were Grade I listed in 1954; listing number 1112991.
