A view of the front elevation of part of the former London Foot Hospital at 40 Fitzroy Square, Fitzrovia. The imposing building has attached Ionic columns rising through the first-floor to support an entablature. The facade is in Portland stone. The side elevation is also visible and is in brick with mostly blind windows. A contractor's sign on the railings reads "Brian Whitty Ltd". The main part of the hospital was at the other end of the terrace at numbers 33-35. A number of pedestrians are visible. Designed by Robert and James Adam and dating from 1792-98, numbers 33-40 Fitzroy Square and their railings were Grade I listed in 1954; listing number 1112997.
