A view of the front elevations of Victorian houses at 28-54 (even) Charrington Street, Somers Town, to the left and the corner with Platt Street. The houses have three storeys above a basement and are two windows wide. The ground and lower ground floors are stucco covered. The basement areas are surrounded by railings and steps lead up to each front door, the front door of number 28 being on the return in Platt Street where two of the windows are blind. A juliet balcony runs across the windows of the first floor. A flatbed truck with a tarpaulin over its rear is parked outside number 28. Built c1845, these houses and others in Charrington and neighbouring streets were Grade II listed in 1998; listing number 1242930. They have been renumbered since the photograph was taken.
