Description
View of Victorian terraced houses on West Ferry Road, Millwall, next to the Isle of Dogs Fire Engine Station at the junction with East Ferry Road, looking north. View shows three children in the doorway of Dr McComb daily surgery. Terrace is left of the plot believed to be for the new fire station built by the LCC in c1904, replacing the original built by the Metropolitan Board of Works in c1876. Houses were demolished prior to the 1950s; Lockesfield Place housing development, built c1988, now occupies the plot.
