View of the Police Station at 23 Platt Street, Camden, looking south towards the junction with Goldington Street and Purchese Street from the corner of Penryn Street. A factory building can be seen on the corner with Purchese Street with the open train sheds of the coal depot along with the gasholders on Camley Street visible in the background. Vehicles parked at the roadside include an Austin Westminster A95, a Morris Oxford Series II, a Ford Zephyr Mk III, a Vauxhall Cresta PB and a glimpse of a Ford Prefect 100E on the far left. The buildings have since been demolished and replaced with a low-rise housing estate around a new entrance road, Somers Close.
