View of boarded-up houses and the former police station in Platt Street, Camden, looking east towards Goldington Street and the Chenies housing block. The house at number 19 looks to have suffered a fire. The garden wall to number 26 Charrington Street on the right of the picture has been partly demolished revealing the garden shed. Vehicles parked at the roadside include Fiat 128 saloon and estate models. Schoolboys can be seen walking along a pavement, littered with building materials, and two women push a pram along the road. All buildings on the left have since been demolished and replaced with a low-rise housing estate around a new entrance road, Somers Close.
