A view of terraced buildings at 76-90 (even) Paul Street, Shoreditch, including the Princess Royal pub at numbers 76 and 78. The pub signs features the royal standard and the name of the brewer Whitbread. It stands on the corner of Willow Street and has an ornate facade of mouldings with a heavy roof parapet. The three buildings to its left have retail premises on the ground floor with accommodation above. The premises at 80 and 82 have no signage and appear empty but number 84 is Harry's Cafe advertising Pepsi and Luncheon Vouchers. At the left of the image is the entrance to numbers 86 to 90 (even). The pub still exists as the Princess but other commercial buildings occupy the remaining sites.
