Description
A view of the front elevation of a terrace of houses at 1-15 (odd) Queensbridge Road, Haggerston. The houses have three storeys over a basement and are two windows wide. The first-floor windows are full storey height and some houses have separate juliet balconies to these windows. The brickwork of the ground floor of number 1 on the left appears to have been painted, with mortar lines picked out in white. Steps lead up to the front doors and railings surround most of the basement areas. An estate agent's board outside number 3 says it has been acquired for development. A sign on a wall at the left reads "Venner Finch Ltd deliveries only" referring to the yard at the back of 243 Hackney Road. A Ford Cortina saloon with registration number SRJ437R is parked outside number 1 while an Austin A60 saloon with a Royal Automobile Club membership badge on the grille is parked across the road. Dating from the early nineteenth century, numbers 1-15 (odd) Queensbridge Road were Grade II listed in 1975, listing numbers 1235306.
