Description
View of Victory Primary School, Elba Place, Rodney Road, Southwark, looking south-west from Elba Place. Elba Place is lined with parked cars. The school, seen behind the brick wall, consists of three buildings: a three-storey structure on the left, a five-storey building in the middle, and another building on the right, the side elevation of which is visible. Behind this is the predecessor of Siddal Apartments in Heygate Street. The seating area previously hosted a saw mill and both this and 5 Elba Place have since been redeveloped into Victory Community Park. Victory Primary School, which dates to at least the late-ninetenth century, survives to this day.
