Description
View of H.W. Simpson funeral directors at 241 East Street, Southwark, on the corner of Elsted Street. A list of services is shown on the Z-shaped logo on the first floor. Behind it is a terrace of buildings with basement levels, and fronted with iron railings. The buildings have since been rebuilt, with the funeral directors on the same site. East Street is considered to be the birth place of Charlie Chaplin, although no official documentation is known of to settle the matter.
