A view of the Georgian doorways at 1 Orient Street and adjacent to 29 West Square, Elephant and Castle. Each doorway is accessed by five steps and bordered by black wrought iron railings. Although not identical, both wooden doors have elaborate wooden panels and are framed in Regency style plasterwork columns. They have fanlights situated above. Number 1 Orient Street has a narrow pillared portico which looks in need of maintenance; number 29 West Square has a wider entrance. A black wrought iron decorative balcony stretches across the first floor windows. Number 1 Orient Street is Grade II listed; listing number 1385745. Number 29 West Square is a part of a Grade II listed terrace; listing number 1386043.
