View of 47-50 West Square, Newington, on the north side of the square. Picket fences and overgrown hedges are visible. Numbers 46 to 60 have since been demolished and rebuilt in the Georgian style. The square is in the heart of a Conservation Area, designated in 1971, and is one of the earliest surviving examples of Georgian squares in south London.
