Front elevation of Free Trade Wharf, 32 Broad Street, Ratcliff, looking south west. The entrance to Free Trade Wharf is adorned by a handsome gateway of 1846 (rebuilt in 1934). It bears lions and the coat of arms of the East India Company. (in; Nicholas Pevsner in Buildings of England: London East). A cart is seen entering the yard as a group of men talk with a police (dockyard) constable.
