Description
View of Ocean Estate, Duckett Street, Mile End, looking north on corner with Shandy Street where the Alfred’s Head public house used to stand. The estate was built in 1949 in Attlee’s massive post-war council housing push of 'homes for heroes'. The large building on the right is Timor House which still stands today. Cars, a van and a pickup truck are parked along the road, and a sole pedestrian is visible.
