Description
A roof top view of Knott Street, Mile End Old Town, viewed looking north from Masters Street. A group of people are standing under a lamp post watched by a dog. The back yards of the houses of Ocean Street (to the left) and Knot Street (to the right) are visible. This was a very poor area of London badly hit by bombing during World War II. Knott Street no longer exists.
