A view of numbers 6-18 Ben Jonson Road, Stepney. The Walnut Tree public house at number 18 has an advertising hoarding for Taylor Walker & Co. Ales Stout & Porter. Number 16 is a two-storey building with a shop that has a multi-paned window frontage. A lady is looking out of the arched doorway of number 14. Numbers 10-12 are two-storey houses with attic rooms, sash windows and doors with scrolls and a plinth above fanlights. Number 8, a two-storey house with an attic room and a basement has a wooden fence and railings with steps leading to the arched front door with semi-circular fanlight. Partly visible are advertising boards on the front of number 6 for the Mile End Electric Theatre and the Poplar Hippodrome. These building have all been demolished and Dame Colet House now occupies the site.
