Description
A view of Beaumont Grove, Stepney, taken from Mile End Road. A workman wearing an overcoat, with a cap, glasses and holding a piece of paper is looking towards the camera from behind a barrier. There are various cars parked in the road and a telegraph pole. The three-storey building on the right with metal framed windows and an arch leading to a courtyard behind still exists. All the other buildings have been demolished and new houses and flats occupy their sites.
