Description
The ground-floor of 139 Hackney Road, Haggerston, on the corner with Cremer Street, showing the premises of C.T.H. Furniture Works. The windows are boarded up with corrugated iron, there is a poster advertising boxing at Shoreditch Town Hall on the 19th of July, featuring inter alia Jimmy Mitchell vs Chris Elliott, Len Gibbs vs Dave Wakefieldstock and Ron Rednup vs John Hendrickson. Other ads include stock car racing at New Cross Stadium and two films, The Hellions and The Nerve. An estate agent's board is attached above the awning. The building has been replaced by modern appartments and a betting shop.
