A view of the front elevations of 245-261 Hackney Road, Haggerston, at the corner with Queensbridge Road. The buildings are flat-fronted four-storey houses with basements and front gardens. Numbers 245-251 Hackney Road also have mansard roofs. Number 245 bears a sign for Samuel Hartog Upholsterer and on the ground-floor there is a single-storey extension which appears derelict. The garden wall at number 247 has partially collapsed and rubbish is piled up behind it. Number 249 has a low wall and metal railings at the front; the two ground-floor windows are boarded up. Number 251 has a sign advertising P.G.T. and there are three cars parked in the front garden: a Jaguar XJ6, an estate car and a Triumph 2000, a man stands behind the Jaguar. Numbers 253,255 and 261 appear derelict. The wall of the ground-floor single-storey extension at number 257 can be seen on the right hand side of the photo. There is a lamp post on the pavement in front of number 245, and a parking notice and a litter bin are attached to the post. A Mini can be seen parked on the pavement of Queensbridge Road on the left. All these buildings still stand.
