Description
View of front elevations of buildings in Rectory Square seen from White Horse Lane, Stepney. Premises include the Grade II listed former East London Synagogue at 52 Rectory Square. The synagogue was formed in 1877 and was the first to be erected under the auspices of the United Synagogue. The building was sold and converted into apartments in 1987, the congregation merged with Hackney Synagogue which changed its name to Hackney and East London Synagogue. Listing number 1065762.
