A view of The Ship public house at numbers 62-64 Stepney Green, Stepney. This Charringtons public house, on the corner of Tinlsey Road, has a sign attached to the front of the building and a tall signpost on the pavement outside next to a telephone box. To the right, numbers 54-60 Stepney Green can be seen. These three-storey houses have been demolished and flats, part of the Tinsley Estate, now occupy the site. The telephone box and pub signs have been removed. The ship was renamed The Ship on the Green and for many years remained a pub. It closed in 2005 and was converted to private residential use, retaining its original exterior including its name above the doors.
