A view of numbers 591-593 and 595-599 Commercial Road, Stepney, either side of Belgrave Street. Commercial Road can be seen to be untarmacked, with trolleybus cables running above it. Number 591 is a motor vehicle parts and accessories outlet, part of what would become Ford Zenith. Number 593 on the corner with Belgrave Street is B Walden tobacconists. Both of these buildings have been demolished, and Tower Hamlets Public Realm Services now occupies their site. Number 595 is a branch of Midland Bank, number 597 a Post Office, and 599 The Whitecross Press. Number 599 has been demolished and the site forms part of a block of flats with a supermarket at street level. The bank and Post Office buildings are now occupied by Muslim Hands.
