Description
Marconi House from Aldwych, Westminster. Occupying 336-337 Strand and including number 8 Aldwych, built 1902-03 by Norman Shaw as a hotel and restaurant. Grade II listed, entry 1236757. It became the headquarters of Marconi between 1912- 1933 and later the English Electric Company. The first radio programme by 2LO was broadcast from here in 1922. The building is now occupied by flats.
