A view of the side elevation of a grand house at 37 Chesham Place, Belgravia. The front elevation is in Lowndes Place to the left. The house is partly scaffolded and surrounded by a hoarding. It has four storeys over a basement and is three windows wide in this elevation. Signs advertise a development of apartments and direct those interested to a company called Trollope. Another sign refers to the building firm Longley and to architects. A letter box stands on the pavement. A Land Rover Classic off-road vehicle is parked at the side of the house. A blue plaque on number 37 records that it was the home of Lord John Russell (1792-1878), twice prime minister. Dating from the early to mid-19th century, numbers 29-37 Chesham Place were Grade II listed in 1970, listing number 1066264.
