A view of terraced houses at 36 and 37 Chesham Place, Belgravia. The houses have four storeys plus mansarded attic over a basement and are three windows wide. The front elevation of number 36 to the right is shown and the side elevation of number 37. Its front elevation is in Lowndes Place to the left. The fronts are stucco covered. The front door of number 37 sits under a portico on Tuscan columns. Some street barriers have been placed in the roadway. Dating from the early to mid-19th century, numbers 29-37 Chesham Place were Grade II listed in 1970, listing number 1066264. A blue plaque on number 37 records that it was the home of Lord John Russell (1792-1878), twice prime minister.
