A view of the front elevation of a large commercial building at 13 and 14 Charing Cross, Westminster. Number 13 on the left is Canadian Government Emigration Offices while number 14 is divided between a J Lyons & Co cafe, advertising "high class refreshments" and Forster Groom & Co Ltd, a stationers offering Baedeker's Guides, maps, printing and stationery. A blurred car and bicycle can be seen in the street. The Canadian government office offers "150 acre farms in western Canada free", "healthy climate, light taxes, free schools" and "improved farms at reasonable prices". The building still exists as 7-13 (odd) Whitehall but with different occupants.
