Description
A view of the front elevation of Trafalgar Buildings at the junction of Charing Cross, Northumberland Avenue, to the left, and Whitehall in Westminster. The curved building, formerly a grand hotel, is scaffolded. An advertising sign for Bovril beef drink can be seen through the scaffold. The building has shops on the ground floor with several floors above. Premises on the ground floor include Keith Prowse ticket agency, Lewis tobacconist and Bravington's jeweller. The Elizabeth Tower housing Big Ben, also scaffolded, can be seen in the distance along Whitehall. Several cars parked and moving and many pedestrians can be seen. Dating from 1881-2, Trafalgar Buildings was Grade II listed in 1987; listing number 1266434.
