The front elevation of 102 Dean Street, Soho, the premises of 'George & Company Morocco & Roan Manufacturers'. 'Morocco' and 'Roan' are two fine leathers used in bookbinding, the former from goats, the latter from sheep. The sash window above on the right also advertises 'Wool' and 'Rugs' and to the right of this is an early version of the Dean Street sign. The shop or factory front has two elegant curved windows in art-deco style , both of which have extractor vents, probably very necessary given the nature of the business. Iron railings protect the main windows. There are central double doors and side windows with reeded columns between them. Above is a decorative leaded window with carved wreaths either side. The right-hand front door is open and the photographer has aroused the curiosity of the three gentlemen within, as well as another in the left-hand window, dressed in a white jacket.
