Room 13 at the Ministry of Defence, Victoria Embankment, Westminster, showing a recess with a curved projecting arch above and separate circular recesses alongside. On either side are single panelled doors with Ionic columns and, on the return wall, is another panelled door. There is dark wallpaper with a repeat floral pattern and some of the ceiling moulding can also be seen. The room is furnished with modern office meeting room furniture, with glass ash trays and water caraffes on the tables. A candelabra style light hangs from the centre of the centre of the ceiling. In the recess is a tubular metal stand, maybe for a white-or blackboard. The Grade I listed MoD building (listing number 1278223) was designed in 1913 and built in 1959, but room 13 is one of its historic eighteenth-century rooms removed and reset from houses formerly on the site.
