Description
A view of the single-storey wooden club pavilion with verandah and flag pole attached, and the grass lawn tennis court in front at the Mayfield Tennis Club, Chitty's Lane, Dagenham. In front of the pavilion are tall ball nets to stop the balls hitting the pavilion. Behind the pavilion can be seen a shabby wooden hut. The tennis club no longer exists; houses in Burnside Road and Palmer Road, a part of the London County Council's Becontree Estate built in the 1920s-30s, now cover the site.
