A view of the front elevation of a weatherboarded building housing a shop and home at 3-4 The Town, Enfield. The shop, with display windows in the front and side elevations, is a carpet retailer called Keith Royle. To the left of its main window are the front door and a window of the residence. It has two floors above, including a mansarded attic, each three windows wide. Several pedestrians can be seen, including a couple with a pram and a man in a raincoat with an umbrella over his arm. A Standard Vanguard car with registration number 84DAR is parked next to the shop. To the right of the shop, the George pub can be partly seen. It no longer exists and a modern building housing a bar and resembling it occupies the site. Dating from the seventeenth century or earlier and known as the Steam Bakery, 3-4 The Town, Enfield was Grade II listed in 1974; listing number 1189251.
