General view of large detached house, Southside House, 3-4 Woodhayes Road, Wimbledon. Parked cars. It is a seventeenth-century house built by Robert Pennington, a friend of Charles II, a safe haven for his family after the death of his son in the Great Plague of 1665. It is still run by Robert Pennington's descendants, serving partly as a residence and partly as a museum and venue for educational activities and cultural events. Southside House is Grade II* listed, list entry number: 1194026.
