View of the entrance to the almshouses in Pitfield Street, Shoreditch, first established in 1695 by the Haberdashers' Company under the provisions of Robert Aske's will dated 1689. They were most frequently known as Aske's Hospital (sometimes as Haberdashers' Almshouses, occasionally as Hoxton Hospital).
