'The industrious 'prentice out of his time and married to his master's daughter', plate VI of "Industry and Idleness"; outside the master's house near Monument a band plays in honour of the wedding. The apprentice leans from a window and gives a coin to a drummer, while a servant at the door pours food into a woman's apron. In the foreground a legless beggar holds a broadsheet.
