Description
"The monster broke loose or, a peep into the Shakespeare-Gallery"; showing Alderman Boydell, wearing a greedy expression, slashing with a large knife the pictures in his picture gallery in Pall Mall; a suggestion was made by malicious persons, when some of the pictures were damaged, that Boydell had done it himself to excite public sympathy.
