Stepney Green School: Harold Wilson admires a student made go kart at the school's ceremonial opening on the 10th July. The British Labour Leader was the guest of honour at the ceremony. At the time Wilson was Leader of the Opposition in parliament, although he would be elected as Prime Minister in October 1964. Wilson served as British Prime Minister between 1964-1970, and then again between March 1974- April 1976, before resigning from his post.
