View of a manor house in Shacklewell Green, Hackney. The Tyssen family settled in Hackney in the 17th century and became considerable landowners. The title 'manor house' was given to this house on Shacklewell Green which they occupied for some years, although they later (c1840) built another 'manor house' elsewhere.
